Ottoline Goes To School

Riddell, Chris. 2009. Ottoline Goes To School. HarperCollins. 170 pages.

Ottoline lived in apartment 243 of the P.W. Huffledinck Tower which everybody called the Pepperpot Building because it looked like one.

This is the second Ottoline adventure I read. (There's also Ottoline at Sea.) Did I like it as much as the first one? Not quite. It was fun, in a way. Still enjoyable. But it wasn't as fun, for me, as I'd hoped it would be.

In this adventure Ottoline and her friend (dog) Mr. Munroe go to school. Why this sudden interest in school? Well, Ottoline met Cecily Forbes-Lawrence III and her pony, Mumbles, in the park one day. And boy did these two ever get along. When Ottoline realizes that her new friend is about to go away to boarding school, The Alice B. Smith School for the Differently Gifted, she writes her parents right away begging to go too.

While there, these two (Ottoline and Mr. Munroe) end up having a little mystery to solve.
